IE 9 will not install on Win 7 64 bit

Wanted to try IE 9 but it wiill not install. I tried it from win update,standalone but will not install. Even disabled IE8 and tried install to no avail. Disabled av,malware ,win firewall to no avail. any help would be appreciated.:confused

 

Exactly what do you mean by "disabled IE8"? There should be no need to do anything to IE8 prior to installing IE9.

Has IE9 been appearing as an update in your Windows Updates?

 

I mean I used Add/Remove windows features and unchecked it. I added my log here also after I tried to do an install.

 

What error message do you see when you try to install it?

 

I am ALWAYS up to date with windows update. I get error 3701.When I get this error is says IE 9 could not finish installing

Method 1 did not work. Method 2 I have a question about. In add/removes programs I have ne tframework 1.1 and 4 installed. V3.5 is not listed there. It is only listed in the Add/remove windows features box

 

It appears that I have v2.0,3.0and v4.0 installed
