IE and Google toolbar disappeared

Have W98se and tried out a IE maximizer program. It hid these toolbars, so I uninstalled it. Got message that not all componenets could be un installed. Have no idea where to look in Registry to find these items. Any ideas? Thanks

 

In IE, have you gone to "View", "Toolbars" and made sure those items were ticked?

 

Muskybob, I tried that and they are checked. I can see toolbar when I access Favorites, but when I try to start IE from shortcut, I get full screen and no tool bar. But thanks for the tip. I hadn't thought of that.

 

Try this, on your desktop, double click "My Computer, "C" Drive, Program Files. Double click the Internet Explorer folder to open it. Right click on the blue "E" and go to "Send To", "Desktop (create shortcut)". Now try to open IE from the new shortcut & see if that solves your problem. If so, delete the other shortcut and use the new one. If it doesn't, well, I tried.

Just an afterthought, I'd use something like RegCleaner now to clean up the registry and do a defrag if you haven't done that already after uninstalling the other proggie.
