    Hi Christine,

My opinion: Actually it's IE7 beta and my advice would be to wait for the "final release." IE7 is currently not actually an "upgrade" but is in fact a "BETA release candidate" which is made available for testing purposes.

This type of beta software is in the "testing stage" of a new version of a program and tends to be full of bugs and other quirks. Therefore it should NEVER be installed while the user is running either a 'critical production' or a home PC; to test beta product versions and releases, I mean.

Microsoft primarily releases "beta products" so that 3rd party developers can test and adjust their programs and utilities which require or are somehow related to interacting with MS products such as Internet Explorer 7 beta and Vista beta as well.

Additionally you might want to check out my recent post regarding "Microsoft beta" products. The actually thread was about the latest MS Office Pro 2007 Beta 2 release candidate; but the advice which I give still applies and you may find the info helpful. :)

    Good Luck!
