I don't have any spyware problems or virus problems. I am running avert stinger and I am going to run the trendmicro and symantec to double check for any unseen problems but, my browser has been really slow and I don't know what the problem is. I have a cable connection and most of the time, my connection is very fast. My speed check on CNET is showing me at 3347 kbps when I normally am at 26000-31000 kbps. Can anyone suggest what the problem might be?

How do you know that? And if you do not have any malware problems, why would you be posting in this forum?

Also there is no way your cable company is ever going to give you a connection speed of 26000-31000 kbps

I have run all my checks for spyware and adware and I have run my ccleaner, spywareblaster and I am showing no problems. So, I assume that I don't have any of those problems. I am posting here because I needed advice and to see if someone out there thought maybe there was some kind of spyware that I might have missed. The only problem that I am having is that my browser has been really slow for the last couple of days.

As for my speed.....I check CNET quite often (after being shown that by my cable repairman) to see what my speed is and most days it shows me at 26000-31000 kbps. For the last couple of days, it is only showing me at 3347 kpbs. I only know what the cnet site shows me. Is that wrong? On the days when it shows me at 26000-31000, my browser speeds are very fast. Just a few ago, it is showing me still at the 3347 and my speed is slow.

Cable companies do not provide connections at that high a rate. The typical connection speeds will vary between 2 Mbps (2000kbps) and 5 Mbps (5000kpbs) depending on time of day and how many people in your area are using the pipe. If Cnet was actually telling you 26000-31000 kbps at any point in time, they probably forgot the decimal point.
