The problem is NDIS.sys and from reading around, most people seem to find it was a problem with the NIC card.

ok...i was finally able to download service pack 3 but the "IE has encountered problem" is still occuring.....for example i can goto google but when i goto the video section i get the error.....i can goto my e-mail but when i click on e-mail i get the problem......i also see error for "framedyn.dll not found" from time to time when trying to fix this issue....i tried to fix but it is not their so i downloaded it and thought i extracted it into "windows\system32" but doesnt detect it........this problem occured alot before i did the suggested maintenance and the 5 suggested scans (which did remove alot of things) but now the problem is much worse and occures without fail whereas before not everytime.....im sure i will think of something elese to add after the fact but anywho.....please help and as always thank you

hi thanks for responding....it is IE7 and im pretty sure i have un and reinstalled it but nothing changed. im not sure what you mean "i dont see any mention of it". i cant attach the logs cause IE crashes when i submit. also
the scans did find numerous items and im guessing they are in a particular folder but the protocol says to leave em be untill logs are evaluated...thx again

    Hi

in that case then this wouldn't be the right forum to upload those logs to, you would need to make a NEW post in malware removal for that...and you would also have to get FRESH logs if the ones you already got are now out of date. All this information being in this link here

    Kes :)

thanks for your fast reply.....could the "Msconfig must be set to normal mode" be the reason for the consistant IE problem......any other ideas? and thx i will redo scans and repost in malware.....guess i need to fire that desktop up anyway

MSCONFIG should be set to normal mode anyway. Selective start up is just for diagnostics purposes and trouble shooting.......
