Not at all sure but I might have some Spyware or Virus issues. Since I'm not fully sure I'll post it here. Basically I double click the IE icon and it loads my homepage just fine...except all my tool bars and even my status bar are missing. If I close IE and open it again they seem to come back. Anyone know what might be causing this...and fix it?

Second very minor issue with flash too. Seems everytime I veiw something in flash it has this little warning border around it making me have to click it before I can activate anything (like play) what option might turn this off?
I will be very thankful for any help especially to the first one ^^

Could it be that IE is stuck in full screen mode? Is there a little icon in the top right that looks like a couple of overlapped squares? If so, what happens when you click that icon?

No that's not it. It doesn't start in full screen, and there certainly doesn't seem any way of getting the toolbars back trust me this is something unnatural, but I have no idea what or how to fix it

Re: IE Help please - try this....

Have you done a Windows Update? Sometimes Updates provides automatic fixes.

Also, what about totally removing Internet Explorer then reinstalling it(?) Removing IE will remove its components (and anything that may be corrupted) then by reinstalling you're starting with a clean program.

I've tried this tactic with other programs and fixed problems each time.

BUT.....If you intend to remove and reinstall IE program, I would suggest you first try putting up the Firefox/Mozilla (free download and you can also import Bookmarks from IE, and select tools from Firefox to use in that browser). This way you still have an internet web browser (check it works fine).

Then...use the Remove/Add program to remove IE

Then....from Firefox browser window homepage, bring up the required window to download IE from. For example, once in Firefox, try the URL shown below to access the Microsoft site to download IE (not sure what IE version you're currently using - but download will probably be the latest IE version, so check version is okay with your PC/System setup. For example, when I downloaded latest IE version, I found I had to remove/reinstall my favourite email server program). Here's the URL you may wish to try for IE download:
    http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/downloads/default.asp

If successfully downloaded, you should be okay (fingers crossed).

    Hope that helps.

thank you very much for your help, I think I'll try that right now. I already updated a few times and still had this problem..so I'm not sure what to think less IE is getting worse and worse with each update *watis for the silence to stop* also thanks for the warning about my favs..having over 200 of them is not something I want to lose ^^ but because I have that much I normally just save them to my harddrive elsewhere as well...just in case. well I'll let you know how it works out

Good luck YV...I'm rooting for you. On a positive note, you'll have Firefox as a browser which you can keep to use whether you do or don't have IE. I actually now use IE and Firefox as browsers.

    :wave Cheers
