Hi I don't know how, why, where but my IE icon changed recently of its own accord. I changed it back via properties but later it changed again (light>dark blue) and of lower image quality. Strangely this icon color is not avail in the standard change icon options. After this occurred twice I have changed it to IE icon on sheet of paper and this seems to have stopped this.

I have conducted antivirus scans with AVG, then disabled and installed NOD32, no viruses (apparently)

Spyware/Adware: spybot, adaware, Windows defender, nothing

Start up monitor: WinPatrol, nothing new

Recent installs: Window defender, ATI catalyst suite v6.2, SIS UVGA v3.72

Has anyone had this happen and should I be concerned???

Completed all scans; IE icon was changing colour (light>dark blue) and quality

All applications/programs have most recent updates and definition files.

    In Safemode:

    Antivirus:

AVG (then disabled and installed); 0 threats
    NOD32:found!
    C:\Program Files\K-Lite\traffic.core - Win32/Adware.Altnet application

    Spyware/Adware:

    CCleaner
    Ad-Aware SE: 0 threats
    Microsoft Windows Defender 1051 (Beta 2): Sig v1.13.1276.3 on 15/02/06; 0 threats
Microsoft Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool: latest download (20/02/06); 0 threats
    SpyBot - Search & Destroy: 0 threats
    Pest Patrol: 0 threats
    Spyware Doctor: 0 threats
    CWShredder: 0 threats
    Kill2me: 0 threats

Start up monitor: WinPatrol, nothing new

Recent installs: Window defender, ATI catalyst suite v6.2, SIS UVGA v3.72

In Normal Mode (dial up, sadly):

Pandavirus (attached) 2 spyware & 1 virus (previously told a test)
Bitdefender: 0 threats reported and strangely could not find option to view and save report after >1hr sanning did not want to repeat process, don't mean to be slack).
    HijackThis: attached

    Summary:

Both NOD32 and Panda found the K-Lite\traffic.core, this was supposed to be a barebones version of K-Lite (no spy/adware) given to me by a friend. If I remove this component will it effect the application as a whole?!?

    P.s. conducted on PC1 below

Please remain in one thread. You already have a thread started for this problem.

Your logs are clean other than K-Lite. I doub't your that the changing of your icon is a malware issue.

We do not recommend using any P2P applications in this forum, especially anything related to Kazaa. I have no idea what that program is for but it probably is needed by K-Lite. You can either uninstall K-Lite or just add that file to your ignore list. It's your choice.
