I had a trojan.galapoper.a virus, but i got rid of it...i used norton and then i did the READ THIS FIRST steps from majorgeeks.com, but i'm still being redirected to different websites when i click on links, after searching in only YAHOO or GOOGLE...other search engines work perfectly, like AV.com...but i just want to know how to fix it...these are the redirected websites:

    http://www.googlecaches.com/
    http://yeahsearch.net/go2.php?data
    http://66.230.138.44/click.php?c=724bbf44d25401b4b601&r=1
    http://www.search-daily.com/

    Computer SPECS:
    Win XP Pro SP2
    IE 6.0
    System Memory 1015MB

You have skipped several steps of the Read Me.

    Welcome to MajorGeeks.com!

Please follow our standard cleaning procedures which are necessary for us to provide you support. Also there are steps included for installing, running, and posting HijackThis logs as attachments.

    - Run ALL the steps in this Sticky thread READ & RUN ME FIRST Before Asking for Support
    • Make sure you check version numbers and get all updates.
After doing ALL of the above you still have a problem make sure you have booted to normal mode and run the steps in the below link to properly use HijackThis:

    Downloading, Installing, and Running HijackThis

When you return to make your next post, make sure you attach the following logs and that you have run these scans in the following order too (
these scans are covered in steps 6 & 7 of the READ & RUN ME sticky)
    • Bitdefender
    • Panda Scan
    • HijackThis

If you have completed all the steps indicated in our Read Me first, your HijackThis log would have the coorresponding entries for Windows Defender, BitDefender Online, and Panda ActiveScan. Also you are using MsConfig to disable startup programs and services.

Whatever you are using MSCONFIG to disable, don't; we need to see everything.

Post all required logs after your are done.
