IE or Firefox not running

    When I try to run IE (ie double click on the icon) nothing happens. I installed Mozilla Firefox successfully and the same thing happens when I try to run it. My laptop was previously infected by the klez virus, and I cleaned this up using a download from Norton, so perhaps this has deleted something that is need to run browsers? Can anyone help me please?
