IE running idle.

Well first off I can't thank you guys enough, as all you guys on this forum are so fast and knowledgable its amazing as I think I'll be taking up perminant residence on this forum..

Anyways here's the thing I'm running win7 64bit and I notice that when i start my computer that IE runs idle in the background, I never open it and very seldom use it but it concerns me that it runs idle in the background not just on my computer but on my laptop as well. I heard it could be a virus, I've scanned my computer with:
Super Anti Spyware, Malware Bytes, Avast and Comodo... Found nothing..

I don't have it in the start-up menu to run so if you guys got any ideas for what it could be I'm all ears.

I have read that it could open if something else needs it to run, perhaps Ccleaner ?, I know it cleans various things on the computer including IE's history could that be what's opening it and putting it idle ?

What's the name of the idle process you are seeing? If it's explorer.exe, that's not Internet Explorer, it's Windows Explorer. That's the user shell and it always runs. It should be in C:\Windows, if not you likely need to run a virus scan.

 

Incase you may have missed it I stated I've ran various scanners and came up clean.. It's not explorer as I know what explorer.exe is, its iexplorer... It's not running now I just opened my task manager to check.. But it does run randomly.
