Here is the last thread from the Spyware forum:

You either have a problem with Java or ActiveX; one or the other if not both. You can try uninstalling your Java and then reinstalling it, reset your ActiveX controls, or do a repair install of Internet Explorer.

This is an issue for the Software Forum. If you post there you will get help fairly quickly

    Try the steps below:

    1. Start > Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Information.

    2. Click on Tools, from the drop-down list choose Internet Explorer Repair Tool.

    3. Tick the Repair Internet Explorer option and click OK, then Yes.

    4. Restart the computer when it is finished.

It would be good if we knew your operating system.

Steve's suggestion will work for Windows 9x.

For XP, Start, run and copy and past the following, (You will need your Windows CD)

    rundll32.exe setupapi,InstallHinfSection DefaultInstall 132 %windir%\Inf\ie.inf

EDIT : I just saw you other post in the Spyware Forum, however, next time always post your operating system please!

OS is Windows 98SE. I ran the Internet Explorer Repair Tool, however it stated that IE 6 could not be repaired. Suggested to "Please Run set-up again to Re-install all Components".

"Version 5.0.2614.3500 of File IEPEERS.DLL Exists but the Version needs to be greater than 6.0.2800.1100". How would I go about running set-up again?

I overroad with IE 5.0 then went to Microsoft updates to re-install IE 6.0. I had to then re-install drivers for my printer because it would not shut off. Everything seems to be working fine now. Would you recommend installing Firefox as a replacement using 98SE? Would I need to reset anything with my ISP to have Outlook express function correctly?

Thanks for all your help..really appreciate it. I honestly would not know what to do without you folks!
