IE tab colours

what do they signify? i had thought there were only 2 colours - one for "still loading" and one for "loaded", but suddenly today i notice 6 or 7 distinct colours!

mostly doing their own thing, but at one point here i did something (no clue what) and 10 tabs on my screen simultaneously changed to yellow!

what's this all about?!

 

It has to do with Tab groupings. You can disable this by going to Tools -> Internet Options -> Tabs and click on the Settings button. Then uncheck Enable Tab groups.

 

no, i rather enjoy it. just trying to figure out what it signifies.

btw, why do u keep repeating my questions? it's not like we're in a confusing thread with multiple questions bouncing around!

excerpting a particular LINE for clarification i can understand, but rote regurgitation of everything i type? what's the point??
