IE Tools disappeared

Hi there,

In IE, under the tools dropdown, the pop-up blocker and manage add-ons buttons have disappeared. They were there I'm sure the other day, but now there is just a blank space. The pop-up blocker space still has the arrow to expand, but this again just gives a blank box. Also, when I go to Help>about internet explorer, I get a blank box.

I've run all of the scans in the Malware 'Read Me' and all were clear. Is this something to do with the program?

Any thoughts appreciated.

Also, I don't get the drop down to allow downloads. Therefore cannot download some programs.

This is weird.

 

Correction. Can't download ANYTHING!! Help.

 

do you have ie7 or ie6?

If its ie6 upgrade to ie7

I've got ie6, but as i said I cannot download anything at all.

Really getting worried now.

 

Did a system restore and that seems to have sorted it, but still don't know what happened.

Thanks for your suggestion aianrnoens (is that the hardest name on mg to remember and spell?). I think it's time for another browser.
