   I have been trying to download some of the maintenance procedures listed here and IE says "Internet explorer was not able to open this Internet site. The requested site is either unavailable or cannot be found. Please try again later". Also I cannot log onto my account on the computer, I have to use my wife's acct. If someone has an idea of what's going on with this thing I would love some advice. Thanx Jon.

   If I understand your post, a) you can not log into windows on your account and b) using your wife's account, you can not get to certain sites. (Obviously you can get to the forum).
   What operating system is on the computer? What security software is on the computer? What happens when you try to log into your account? Do you have a browser besides IE on the computer?
