IE Yellow information bar

How can I disable the yellow information bar saying "Your current security settings put your computer at risk". Every time I open a new window or change websites I have to close it.

If your computer is not setup like is recommended, you will probably run into trouble..

Step by Step instructions... (Assuming you are using Internet Explorer 7)
If for some reason you you have changed your Browser Security Settings purposely and want them kept that way - Then do the following...
1. Left Click "Start" Button on your desktop.
2. Left Click "RUN"
3. Type "gpedit.msc" (Takes you to Local Computer Group Policy)
4. Left Click on + next to "Administrative Templates" under 'Computer Configuration'
5. Left Click on + next to "Internet Explorer"
6. Double click "Turn Off The Security Settings Check Feature" to turn off.

And if that doesn't work, then do the following...

1. Left Click "Start" Button on your desktop.
2. Left Click "Control Panel"
3. Left Click "Security Center"
4. Left Click "Change the way Security Center Alerts me"
5. Un-check what ever is causing your problem.

I tried to run "gpedit.msc", but the file is not on my computer. I searched for it, including system files and hidden folders with no result.

I unchecked the alerts under "Change the way Security Center Alerts me". This did not work either.

 

What OS, gpedit.msc is only in XP Pro version I believe.

The yellow bar is warning you, disabling it is not recommended. Why not just fix it?
