IE6 remove add-ons

I've been trying to figure this out but so far I haven't had any luck. How can I uninstall add-ons from IE6? Hijackthis didn't help me remove all of my plugins and I don't know what other programs to use or if windows has something that will allow me to uninstall them.

To disable add-ons in internet explorer, please do the following:

1. Open Internet Explorer
2. Click the 'Tools' menu
3. Select 'Internet Options'
4. Select the 'Programs' tab
5. Click the 'Manage Add-ons' button

Here, you will see a list of all the IE plugins installed on your system. You can disable any one that you have higlighted.

To remove an add-on permanently, select Windows, Programs (All Programs in Windows XP) and look in the menu for an uninstall icon in the program's folder; or select the add-on in Control Panel's Add/Remove Programs and click Remove.
