IE7 homepage reset to MSN

    I am working on a pc that will reset the homepage to (http://www.microsoft.com/isapi/redir.dll?prd=ie&clcid=0x409&pver=6.0&ar=home) evertime ie is opened which ends up being msn.com. You can go to the general tab and reset the homepage and it looks like it takes but open up internet options again and it's already reset. I really think it's some type of spyware but Ad-aware didn't find it and I have also downloaded and ran AVG. He (this is my uncles) has norton running which also didn't find anything. If anyone has seen this to make my search for the cause shorter I would appreciate any responses.confused

    Are you running Nortons anti-virus or security? If so, this is a known issue. Norton's has a home page protect option, check your options under Nortons to allow this change, then reset it to lock the home page once you have reset it.

    Did not now about that in Norton, when I go there later today I will look at this. He did tell me he just renewed and upgraded his Norton that very well could be it. I will post on this later, thanks.
