After downloading and installing IE7 it doesn't display right.
The menu bars at the top have gaps that the desktop shows thru and
right click menus are blank until you run your cursor over them.
    Has anyone else experienced this?

    cant say so mate,
    what i would try is
    1) IN IE7 disable all add-ons that are installed. the most probable cause of this wonky layout of ie7 is that you had an add-on enabled in ie6 (like an extra toolbar or easy web-print etc) that has screwed up your new ie7.

to disable addons click on tools _> manage add-ons ->enable/disable then click on each addon and select disable. also try uninstalling these toolbar softwares if this does not work
    2) reinstall ie7 (or repair if that is an option that appears)
    3) click on start, run & type in "sfc.exe /scannow" (without the quote marks)

this runs the system file checker that makes sure all windows system files are good & not corrupt.

    hope this helps
