    Hello Gang,

From last week's episode we upgraded to IE8 from IE7 and found the change clogged up the system. Some thought it (IE8) was incompatible with Spybot S&D. Decided to uninstall IE8 and revert back to IE7 - and MS had a 'Fixit' tool, which worked. This was the link to the tool : http://support.microsoft.com/kb/957700
...in case any other unfortunate PC user installed IE8 to their dismay.

So now I am back to IE7, but still use Mozilla Firefox for my default browser. However, when I launch IE7 I find a "bug" is happening: it will not bring up my 'home page' (iGoogle) like it is set to do, but instead takes me to "msn.runonce", the introductory page for doing your settings in newly installed IE7. I already imported all the old info, favorites, and settings there once, but this screen keeps coming up asking to make new settings. Then, after I make the same choices, (two little radio buttons), and hit 'apply', it says my settings were NOT saved.....and that's the end of that.

No matter, whenever I launch IE7 this 'runonce' page for my 'new' settings for newly installed IE7 comes up, and it's an extra two clicks to get to my homepage.......
(This is one reason why I like Mozilla better).

Any way to defeat the continuing re-occurance of this 'runonce' screen and get straight to my homepage ?

    Thanks,
