IEXPLORE.exe, ad pop-ups, wave audio control goes mute

hello this is the first time i ever posted anything in a message board like this so please exucse me if i make embarasing mistakes
i used a reply given to a member called butcher about a virus muting his sound and popping up ie adds
it couldnt happen to me at a worse time since i working on an animation due tommorow.
it seemed to have work for me as well
thank you very much
i was wondering if by anychance you can examine the log i produces so i can be sure my computer is clean
