iexplore.exe opening in the background

Hi all, hope you don't mind helping me, I've been having this really irritating problem that iexplore.exe keeps opening in the background (I use Opera as a browser). If I close it from the task manager it'll just start up again, several times, then stops and starts opening on its own again about an hour later.

I've used Spybot S&D, avenger, MGtools, Ccleaner... still here

I've done some searches in the forums and tried what other people have said, but it still persists.
