Hello, my name is Kelly. About 2 Months ago I was streaming television shows online and clicked a link that caused my computer to freeze. Ever since then I have been hearing random audio ads come over my speakers. Also there are constanly multiple Iexplorer.exe running in my task manager. Also when I check my IE history I see many sites that I know I have not visited. My computer is also lagging very bad when I surf the web. I beleive I have completed all of the steps in the Read & Run Me posts but I still have the multiple iexplorer.exe running in the task manager of my computer.

My SuperAnti Spyware log is attached however it would only run for a maximum of 11 minutes and then say an error occured and would ask me to send my log to them and insert my email address and them prompt me to restart SAS or cancel. I tried to run this program 5x but it kept causing an error at the same point so I stopped it before the error and saved attached the log.

I also attached my MBAW log, which ran successfully.

I also attached my ComboFix Log.

I was not able to run RootRepeal because my system is 64-bit.

I attached My MGTools Log as well, this ran successfully.

I will attach my TDSSKiller log as advised in another post of a similar issue in my next post as I have reached the maximum number of attachments.

Any help would be gratefully appreciated. Thanks!

    Welcome to Major Geeks!

Looks like the cleaning process took care of most of your problems. However you did not update Malwarebytes properly so let's update it and run another scan to be sure all was found and fix. Now run Malwarebytes and click the Update tab. Then click the Check for Updates button so you update to the current version of the program and database. Then run a new scan with it too. Make sure you fix the problems found before saving a log. Attach the new log.

Does your copy of Spyware Doctor include the antivirus? Is this a paid copy of Spyware Doctor?

Uninstall the below old versions of software:
    Java(TM) 6 Update 15

NOTE: In the below HijackThis fix, you may not see the O4 - HKCU... line because it may have been fixed by Malwarebytes. Just ignore and continue.

Run C:\MGtools\analyse.exe by double clicking on it (Note: if using Vista or Win 7, don't double click, use right click and select Run As Administrator). This is really HijackThis (select Do a system scan only) and select the following lines but DO NOT CLICK FIX until you exit all browser sessions including the one you are reading in right now:

    O2 - BHO: (no name) - {5C255C8A-E604-49b4-9D64-90988571CECB} - (no file)
    O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [Lveghfngmtdft.com&p=R0lGODlhyAA8APcAAAAAAAAAMwAAZgAAmQAAzAAA/wArAAArMwArZgArmQArzAAr/wBVAABVMwBV

    M/9VZv9Vmf9VzP9V//+AAP+AM/+AZv+Amf+AzP+A//+qAP+qM

    After clicking Fix, exit HJT.

Now install the current version of Sun Java from: Sun Java Runtime Environment

Now run the C:\MGtools\GetLogs.bat file by double clicking on it (Note: if using Vista or Win7, don't double click, use right click and select Run As Administrator).

    Then attach the below logs:
    • the new Malwarebytes log
    • C:\MGlogs.zip
Make sure you tell me how things are working now!

Thank you for the help I have completed your directions.

To answer your question I do not have a paid version of Spyware Doctor it is only the free version.

I updated my Malwarebytes and reran the program. I have attached my log.

I then uninstalled the Java 6 Update 15.

    I then ran C:\mgtools\analyse.exe

I was able to use the "fix" button on the "O2 - BHO: (no name) - {5C255C8A-E604-49b4-9D64-90988571CECB} - (no file)" line.

However I was receiving an error message when trying to remove the line
    "O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [Lveghfngmtdft.com&p=R0lGODlhyAA8APcAAAAAAAAAMwAAZgAAmQAAzAAA..............."

I have attached a screenshot of the error I was receiving.

While currently running this internet explorer window, with only this one window open I have two iexplorer.exe's running in my task manager, is this a sign of the virus still being alive?

Thanks again for all your help, please let me know what you whould advise doing next. Thank you.

    You're welcome.

Then uninstall it as it is just wasting System Resources.

Okay then we will try to fix this a different way down below.

No! It is normal for tabbed browsers to show multiple processes running. Right now I have one IE browser running but 3 iexplore.exe showing in Task Manager since I have some tabs on IE.

Now we need to use ComboFix
    • Make sure that combofix.exe that you downloaded while doing the READ & RUN ME is on your Desktop but Do not run it!
      • If it is not on your Desktop, the below will not work.
    • Also make sure you have shut down all protection software (antivirus, antispyware...etc) or they may get in the way of allowing ComboFix to run properly.
    • If ComboFix tells you it has expired or need to be updated to a new version, make sure you allow it to update.
    • Open Notepad and copy/paste the text in the below quote box into it:
    • Save the above as CFscript.txt and make sure you save it to the same location (should be on your Desktop) as ComboFix.exe
    • At this point, you MUST EXIT ALL BROWSERS NOW before continuing!
    • You should have both the ComboFix.exe and CFScript.txt icons on your Desktop.
    • Now use your mouse to drag CFscript.txt on top of ComboFix.exe
    • Follow the prompts.
    • When it finishes, a log will be produced named c:\combofix.txt
    • I will ask for this log below
    Note:

Do not mouseclick combofix's window while it is running. That may cause it to stall.

Now run the C:\MGtools\GetLogs.bat file by double clicking on it (Note: if using Vista or Win7, don't double click, use right click and select Run As Administrator).

    Then attach the below logs:
    • C:\ComboFix.txt
    • C:\MGlogs.zip
Make sure you tell me how things are working now!

    You're welcome. That looks better.

You did not tell me how things are working.

Things appear to be working very well. I have not seen any of the symptoms I was seeing before. Are there any other steps that you would advise to make sure the system is completely clean?

Just delete the below file and your logs will be clean.
    c:\users\Kelly\AppData\Local\Rcozuvasaxoga.bin

If you are not having any other malware problems, it is time to do our final steps:
    1. We recommend you keep SUPERAntiSpyware and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for scanning/removal of malware. Unless you purchase them, they provide no protection. They do not use any significant amount of resources ( except a little disk space ) until you run a scan.
    2. If we had you use ComboFix, uninstall ComboFix (This uninstall will only work as written if you installed ComboFix on your Desktop like we requested.)
      • Click START then RUN and enter the below into the run box and then click OK. Note the quotes are required
      • "%userprofile%\Desktop\combofix" /uninstall
        • Notes: The space between the combofix" and the /uninstall, it must be there.
        • This will uninstall ComboFix and also reset hidden files and folders settings back to Windows defaults.
    3. Go back to step 6 oof the READ ME and renable your Disk Emulation software with Defogger if you had disabled it.
    4. Any other miscellaneous tools we may have had you install or download can be uninstalled and deleted.
    5. If we had you download any registry patches like fixme.reg or fixWLK.reg (or any others), you can delete these files now.
    6. If running Vista, it is time to make sure you have reenabled UAC by double clicking on the C:\MGtools\enableUAC.reg file and allowing it to be added to the registry.
    7. Go to add/remove programs and uninstall HijackThis.
    8. Goto the C:\MGtools folder and find the MGclean.bat file. Double click on this file to run this cleanup program that will remove files and folders
related to MGtools and some other items from our cleaning procedures.
    9. If you are running Win 7, Vista, Windows XP or Windows ME, do the below:
      • Refer to the cleaning procedures pointed to by step 7 of the READ ME
for your Window version and see the instructions to Disable System Restore which will flush your Restore Points.
      • Then reboot and Enable System Restore to create a new clean Restore Point.
    10. After doing the above, you should work thru the below link:
