Good luck, hope you recover swiftly! Make sure you take a Sharpie and write 'NO' on your good knee so they don't work on the wrong one... :-D

After a scare like that, how many feet can your hind end hold?
    Mines a size 9 1/2 wide.
    With cleats and steel toes.

  4. Mimsy

Adding a set of steel toed stiletto heeled boots to hrlow2's already impressive footwear...

If you do make it back alive we get to kick you and stomp on your feet for scaring us. :-D

All that *** kicking finally caught up with you, eh Tibbs? Hopefully it goes fast and recovers quickly so you can get back to business.

Since, I'm sure you're posting this because statistically you're more likely to die of knee surgery than open heart :p Tee hee. You'll be fine. <3

Hrlow. Are you serious? How can you be serious? I mean, seriously.
Correct time was 7am in the UK, 3am ET. Michigan is in the east, 4 hours behind us. If I saw Tibbsy's post at 7.05am, it was posted at 3.05am ET.
    Quod Erat Demonstrandum.

You weren't serious, were you? LOL

Look at the top left corner.
    Clearly states 21:23.

Why go to Amsterdam for the weekend when you can have arthroscopic surgery!

Notice they give you the patient satisfaction survey before you go home,I drew flowers on mine:-D

Does anybody really care? Every minimally invasive surgery party I go to someone always starts arguing about the time, blows my high...

  29. Sgt. Tibbs

    LOL LOL

The only important time is how long it's been since six hours have passed. The good stuff from the hospital has worn off, so now I'm just down to the Darvocet they sent home with me. Which I may take once every six hours.

At least I know they operated on the correct knee! :p

    That's good news.
Best news would be to hear that it was a success.
Bad news would be to hear the best news, get so excited you get up and start dancing for joy, go down and damage the other one.

    OUCH.

  31. brandypeppy

Yeah? Says you. How are we supposed to know you aren't posting from the beyond?

Any proof of REAL exixtence? You may think, which means you am, but that doesn't prove you is. :-D

They got the knee right now it's time to lie back and recuperate.

  35. Mimsy

Mimsy Superior Imperial Queen of the MG Games Forum

Exactly. Make your staff, e,r family, wait on you hand and foot while you relax on the couch with a good book and "recuperate" ;)

  36. Phantom

    Phantom Brigadier Britches

Well, that's good that the Surgeons know their right from their left, anyway. Seriously, I've heard of worse mistakes over here, like forgetting to remove the surgical gauze, and losing their wedding ring inside the wound, (how does one even do that with gloves on?? :confused).
Now to wait for the post-operative withdrawals - blech!

It's all relative ya know. My sister-in-law told me that when she used to always drop in for dinner at all hours of the night....And she's about as relative as it gets.rolleyes

Got news for you - and it's all bad. ...None of us are alive, nor do we think, if posting on this forum is called life. Our being here is proof of our non-existence. ;)

That's the sad part...my only staff is my mother, who has had this exact surgery three times and both knees totally replaced. I get practically zero sympathy from her. :crybaby

S'ok, I guess. If I keep using it, it'll heal faster. And I have incentive! Have you ever tried to carry a cup of coffee while using crutches? LOL

I did discover a trick this morning...take the Darvocet BEFORE eating! Works much better. :-D

I'm real...I'm just not too sure about the rest of you! :p

  39. oma

Good to see you around and kicking Sarg and glad everything went well!!

When on crutches I used the car coffee mugs with a lid on it to transport the coffee and any other liquids. Coffee with a straw, hehe. :-D

Glad to see your humour is still evident. When I have the slightest niggle of pain or discomfort I'm the worst person in the world to be around.
Hope you recover quickly and get back to kicking bottom.

That's the english spelling, not the american english spelling. It's still right, just limey. Limey ftw!

Yeah, right. Whatever. It's English. No such thing as American English.
    E-N-G-L-I-S-H. From E-N-G-L-A-N-D.
    Jeez, how many times?

Good to see you back, Charlie Big Potatoes. Rubbing people up the wrong way and being as obnoxious as ever.
You ever going to reel your attitude in?
