    Hi and sorry for disturbing.

I have a "problem" with my connection.
I have a PPPoE connection (DSL?).
These are the instructions my ISP gave me in order for my connection to work: Open Network connection, create a new connection>next, connect to the internet>next, setup my account manualy>next , connect using a broadband connection that requires a username and password, fill up the ISP field with "ispname">next, fillup the fields with username and password>next...FINISH. ATTENTION! TCP/IP protocol shoul only exist for WAN or DIAL-UP adaptor. The one on the network card(LAN) must be deactivated.

My system is runing over WINXP and I have one networkcard. The internet work fine (both internet and filesharing programs such as DC++) under the instructions my ISP gave me.

My question is if there is any way I can make the LAN work (if I activate the TCP/IP on my network card my DLS doesn't work anymore) because this LAN could be verry usefull for us(the members of the network) , but noone knows how to make it work.I posted this question because I heard that this is posible...

If you need further details I'll be glad to offer them to you.
P.S. sorry for my poor english and 10x for help.

If I change the IP on the LAN to be the same as the one in DSL I get an error that tells me that the IP is already in use (or smth like that)

Basically, if you want to use two network connections they MUST be on different subnets. That's why you get the error message when you try to configure one the same as the other.

What do you want to use the ethernet connection for?
