   Hi all,
   
   Some hacker installed an FTP server on my computer (running Windows 2000 Professional) on port 4116. I was wondering how I could shutdown this FTP server.

   I don't have a firewall installed, I will be doing that shortly. But until I get that firewall installed, is there any other way to shutdown the ftp service?

   As AbbySue said, what on earth makes you want to install the firewall "later" when you think you were hacked? You install the firewall and block the port.
