illegal operatin with plug-in, in firefox

Sometimes if viewing an embedded video through firefox, i'll get a pop-up,
titled - Windows media player plug-in Dynamic Link Library
The plug-in performed an illegal operation. You are strongly advised to restart Navigator.

Im guessing it has something to do with codecs, any good sites to see if any codecs are missing?

What site? (direct link to problem in question would be nice). What version of FF you running? Do you have any extensions installed? What are they?

 

If I can join in, I have the same problem occasionally and it's only recently started.

I'm using XP Pro SP2, FF 1.5.0.1 and I have various extensions, including Adblock Plus, Noscript, Send Referrer and Disable Targets for Downloads.

I had to trawl through various websites, but here is a link I found today, after much hard searching into areas I don't normally go that demonstrates the problem:

I realise this is an old link, but I was searching for my problem before I made a new post, so it seemed better to add onto this rather than start again

 

Is this a cryptic quiz of some sort?

 

It is always better to start your own thread when an issue arises as no two computers are identical re: different hardware and/or configuration, software, etc.
