I bought the McAfee virus protection with my Dell. Do I still need to install AdAware , Spybot and Spyware blaster which is what I use on my computer now. I've been using AVG but my husband convinced me to go with the McAfee. :)

Yes you still need spyware scanning, blocking and removal tools. In normal operation of your PC, Ad-Aware & SpywareBlaster use no system resources (unless you bought Ad-Aware and use Ad-watch). They only use some resources when you run them. Spybot uses very little system resoures unless you use Teatimer which we recommend not doing.

McAfee you will find is very resource hungry (so is Symantec). That does not mean that is is not a good program. It just slows down many systems dramatically. AVG and Avast, even with the free versions, which McAfee does not offer, are very good. And they are not so resource hungry.

You should look into a full time real spyware blocking tool like
    Spy Sweeper
    Microsoft Windows AntiSpyware
    CounterSpy
