I'm getting sick of " Apply to all Folders".

3 questions.

(1) Is it possible to lock in the view in Control Panel to "Icons" and never change?

(2) Is it possible to lock in the view in all other Folders to "Details" and never change?

(3) Is it possible to alter the Explorer default of "approximately 30" temporaily saved Folder settings to say 50, or 100, by Registry edits, or whatever.

I am sick and tired of playing ducks and drakes with my Folder settings, going to Tools-->Folder Options--->View--->Apply to all Folders.
Only to have them change back and forth for no apparent reason. Bazza

 

Look under Customization in Tweak UI, should be able to set them so they won't change.

Thanks Steve, I'll' alter mine to 1200, but it would take me a long time to open 400 Folders, I would have thought, unless "open Folders" is calculated some other way. Bazza

Not sure if this is a permanent solution. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

To unlink Control Panel from rest of Documents.

Control Panel--->TweakUi---->Explorer--->untick "Manipulate connected files as a unit".

I'm still after answers to my questions, if anyone can provide them. Bazza
