    You're right,

I noticed that, though I don't understand why that is as I have the icon on my task bar and I've left the computer on and unattended several nights. I'm going to have to reread the instructions here, as I've probably missed something.

I would appreciate the help, I'll see if I can figure out what's wrong first, so I at least have some information to ask questions with.

    Thanks again,

    Chipper :)

Heya Chipper just remeber that the PC's don't like Molsons or Back Bacon ehLOLLOL..........If you have any problems chipper just give us a holler, some Work Units(WU's) can take three or four days, if you right click on the Icon and then click on the "Log File" you should see your progress with the WU your working on.

Hahaha, Molson's and back bacon eh?.:fart I have a 50M step fold on my 1GHz Celeron and it takes some 8 days to finish a WU whereas on my new machine, X2 3800, main core takes three days to finish a WU using the GUI though the one I have loaded as a service on the second core takes 2 days as this isn't used as much by day to day computing and therefore is faster.

    Welcome......So you want to "Fold"

    The "Novice" version

    >>
    Instructions << to do so

I've just recently looked at the page that lists all teams and from the looks of things "our" team will fall back to around 88th position in the near future.

I surely hope more folders will participate.

I have a couple of socket 370's I may Resurrect running an intel coppermine@1000MHz and another intel Tulatin@1,100MHz ,perhasp I may get a WU a week out of them?

all help folding for "our" team is appreciated and helps the advancement of research at Stanford University

    Hi Chipper,

If you post your log, we can have a look at it and see what's going on, just an idea.

Well, I finally had a chance to work on Folding today, and it turns out the only problem was it needed to be configured. The installation works properly now. :)

I'm going to doublecheck as well after I get home tomorrow morning, Gray. I remember getting a message from Folding earlier today after leaving my PC on overnight, which hasn't happened since the reformat weeks ago. I think there should be some record on their site by now. If not, I'll keep working on it tomorrow using this site until it works. :) It feels to me like this is a ridiculously simple thing, but busy as I am all the time, I'm worried that somehow I might have missed something... For now we'll have to wait and see. :confused
