Very interesting, good find scorcer. My dispear is ideas, inventions and discoveries such as this, even at the end become a reality, eventually gets used for evil purposes....goverments, military, terrorists with money would be all over that...
Invisibility would give such a huge power to those who posseses it and I seriously doubt it would be use to do some good.
Humans tend to go for bad things before good. Scientists who are working on this project could be very kind-hearted and could have very good plans for it but at the end those who got the most power will get their hands on it and as we all know, those who have the most power on this planet are far from 'heavenly', if you get my drift?

On a serious note, I hear what your saying, the funding for such a project is most likely not from an altruistic source. I fear science of this nature will always be funded with a "cold war" mentality

I magine the power drain of such a thing. not to mention the software. Which of course leaves you vulnerable to the "blue screen of death",hmmm, now that would have a whole new meaning wouldn't it

I agree, if M$ developes its software then I feel a whole a lot better even if it was funded by some organization or country with a cold war mentality....why?
Because it would probably crash due to rain or something exposing the cloaked person without a warning, getting him killed as a result. M$ would come up with a servicepack to fix that problem but in return it would cause a glitch which would be the buttox area of the cloaked person would be exposed in the moonlight. Again the person would find out about this glitch in a rather painful way, etc. etc..

 

Don't forget about the geek hackers making you look like a "star wars" figure
