Im Lost here

Ok here goes..as soon as I boot up my machine i get an error about my Power Fan acting abnormal i get a choice pressing F1 to continue and F2 for setup so of course i got to F2 and check the onboard hardware devices and check on it but its says N/A? i never experienced this ..And I disconnected the fan and plugged it right but still the same occurs..Should I get a new fan?

 

Does the fan made adnormal sound ???

If yes then it's time to change your fan......

The power fan do you mean the cpu fan,which fan did you disconnect? The error message would suggest the psu fan is faulty which cant be remove without taking the power supply apart

could you post more specs or computer model dell ect

 

panaflo for quiet, delta for power. I wouldn't buy a generic one as they don't have much power at all(at least the ones I've bought) Compusa sells antec fans which are descently powerful.

Just make sure you buy the correct size. 60mm, 80mm, 92mm, 120mm are the most common. Depending on how old your board is there may be power requirements as well.

First, make sure that any and all fans are indeed spinning. Like others have hinted, make sure you're looking at the fan it's saying is messed up. It could be the Power Supply fan, and you may be thinking it's the Processor fan. Monitored fans have a 3 wire lead. Red, black, and yellow wire. Sometimes it's a blue or white wire instead of the yellow though. That 3rd wire is what signals back to the fan monitor, to tell it if it's turning, or sometimes what it's actual speed is. Although rare, I HAVE seen a fan work correctly, but the third monitoring part of it is non functional.
Or........"Hardware monitoring" could be disabled in bios.

srry for leaving u hanging..but i resolved it its that i opened that mofo up and found it disconnected so its done..
