I'm not sure exactly where this goes, but...

I've decided to hook my PC up to my Sony widescreen HDTV. I was wondering if there were any way to make it not look like crap. Everything is blurry, and I can hardly read anything. Especially sitting six feet from the television. My graphics card is nVidia Geforce FX 5200. Is there some sort of driver you have to download? Or are there settings you have to mess with?

    How big is the TV?
What resolution do you have it set at?

(to check, right-click the desktop, select 'Properties' and view the settings tab).

You probably just have to set the resolution on the TV screen higher.

The television is around 55'', and the resolution is at 1024 X 768, and can't go any higher.

    Through what connection?

    Ouch.

If you haven't installed proper drivers, you may be limited to what resolutions are available to you.

See this link to get drivers for your card.

Right before I tried to connect to my television, I'd installed the most up-to-date drivers for my card. I guess my card is just too old.
