im thinking of getting a new compy......

my uncle builds computers and i wanna know how much it'll cost for hime to build me a really good computer..... good enough to play games like half-life2.......how much will i need to spend to get one that good???

 

To me, this is sort of an open ended question! A lot would depend on what your uncle charges for labor and what source that he gets his parts from. I just had a friend and his wife that I work with buy one of Dell's "top" end gaming computers, I won't mention the amount that they spent, but it is way more computer than they will ever use for anything that they will ever do. Also keep in mind that most of the systems sold in stores today will be adequate for all but the most demanding gamers, with the addition of a video card and possibly extra memory. Only my thoughts on this, sure that others will have other opinions, and hope this helps!

Speed costs! How fast do you want to go? There is a lot to be considered in this. Your top of the line killer game rig may be on top today, but may be second or third best in a month or less, depending on manufacturers ( motherboard, processor, memory, etc. ). So bottom line is how much money that you have to spend and spending it in the correct places!

 

im willing to spend as much as it takes to have a top-of-the-line gaming pc.
