Images not displaying in IE, but appear in FireFox

Hi everyone.
I am experiencing a problem with my website
http://www.vidagroup.com.au
The images (mostly gifs, some jpg) won't entirely display in Internet Explorer, but do show up in Fire Fox.
I have made sure the 'Show Pictures' box is checked in IE(7) Tools->Interenet Options->Advanced is checked.
Hoping someone can view my code to see if I have overlooked something.

instead of img src="image/Picture109.gif"
do img src="/image/Picture109.gif"

Thats what it was when i had this issue.

Images still not displaying in IE.

Works great in both ie7 and firefox for me. Try forcing your page to refresh via F5, at leasdt the main page is.

Yeah I find the index page images are reading properly,
but the other pages are failing. If you browse the site you
will understand what I mean.
The background images seem to be working fine.
Its just the other images that are failing to show.

 

Try re-uploading the gif's...they look corrupted.

 

is the / in front of the code correct kodo?

Thanks for your input.
I tried uploading all images again, with no success.
It appears all good in Firefox, but fails in IE(7).
Tested on earlier versions of IE with the same result - boxes with the red cross showing rather than the actual images.

Ok. I have just noticed something.

All the images that appear correctly in the browser are all .jpg extensions.
The ones failing to show are the gif’s.
The gif files could possibly be corrupt.
Though saying that, those same gif files are able to be read by Firefox.
Maybe I should save all images as jpg's ?
Any suggestions?

Are they actually being displayed, or is it maybe just that Firefox is ignoring the corrupted ones that won't load, rather than putting up a red X (broken image placeholder)?

Firefox is actually displaying the gif images.
If you view http://www.vidagroup.com.au in both IE and Firefox, you will understand what I mean.
Appreciate your input.

ok, they didn't work for me the other day in either IE or FF.. but now they are working in both with no problems.

Have you tried clearing out your IE cache?

Thank you for your help.
I found the solution.
The issue was with the transparent component of the gifs which had partially corrupted the images.
Upon re-saving the gif images and repositioning the transparent gif's, I was able to correct the problem.

FireFox is much better at displaying pictures, and what not.

Hopefully I could be of some help.
