Seems to be a hunt for slow add-ons for Fx as users compare Chrome's startup time with Firefox's?

Well.... I've got 4 of the slow ones which slows Fx start by 65%. So in reality it slows down my Fx's startup time to almost 2/3. May seem a lot but think about it as in seconds or ms.

I'm pleased to say I don't currently have any of the top 10 loading in Fx4 or PaleMoon4

My default browser is k-meleon though I only use the slower browsers to surf places I don't usually visit.

 

Thanks! Neither do I satrow, not in the first 10 anyway. In Fx and PM:

#12: Adblock Plus 12%
#20: No Script 16%
#26: Download Statusbar 14%
#29: WOT 14%

Total: 65%

(Strange thing is that when I have already the internet radio on and then start browsing, both browsers increase their speed in page rendering tremendously!!)

Mozilla's initiative to start checking out the startup and perhaps performance (memory/CPU) of add-ons may be beneficial for us or not, depending on the add-on authors whether they will participate or just bow out.

Haven't updated to PM v 4 yet. Still debating whether I will or not although it's my default.

 

thank u friend firefox hangs often in my system and i could witness javascript performance difference when i use safari or opera which is far better ..... firefox pushed out firefox user for other browser
