in gta 4 is this normal?

i recently just upgraded my hardware (upgraded cpu to quad core and bought a intel motherboard that takes quad core cpus) and reinstalled windows xp home edition, now when i try to load gta 4 episodes from liberty city i get these messages

I have a very hard time reading those error messages, they've very small. Off the top of my head though, the first thing I's suggest to do it "the basics": Uninstall the game, remove all temp files and registry entries, and reinstall it. Check that all drivers for the new motherboard are up to date. Is the game optimized for dual-core or quad-core?

I had a look around and this aparently is a fairly wide spread problem with several "Fixes" being talked about, the most common cause is when someone has installed a new OS and the game is accessing (or trying to) the old files, I'm thinking this is if the game was installed on a different drive/partition. If this is the case you will probably need to delete any rockstar files after you uninstall it and then clean up with a reg cleaner like "CCleaner" and reinstall.

I had a similar problem when I moved from XP to 7, 2 or 3 of my games wouldn't work even on reinstall until I had deleted all traces of the previous install.

I know thats a little vague but I thought I'd share.
