    Hi All,

My local pc is not able to restart properly and seems to be acting up including not showing the antivirus AVAST icon on the lower right tray. I have to manually start the AVAST for this to appear.

The IE does not allow me to download files from fastsupport.com to activate the support session. However, this program does work on firefox.

Any advise is much appreciated and enclosed are my logs.

    Sincerely,
    Mongooseba:-o

I am not finding any malware in your logs. However, once you figure out the problem, you need to flush your restore points. I suggest you post in the software forum for further assistance.

If you are not having any other malware problems, it is time to do our final steps:

    1. We recommend you keep Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for scanning/removal of malware.
    2. Renable your Disk Emulation software with Defogger if you had disabled it in step 4 of the READ & RUN ME.
    3. Go to add/remove programs and uninstall HijackThis. If you don't see it or it will not uninstall, don't worry about it. Just move on to the next step.
    4. If running Vista, Win 7 or Win 8, it is time to make sure you have reenabled UAC by double clicking on the C:\MGtools\enableUAC.reg file and allowing it to be added to the registry.
    5. Now goto the C:\MGtools folder and find the MGclean.bat file. Double click ( if running Vista, Win7, or Win 8 Right Click and Run As Administrator ) on this file to run this cleanup program that will remove files and folders related to MGtools and some other items from our cleaning procedures.
    6. Any other miscellaneous tools we may have had you install or download can be uninstalled and deleted.

After doing the above, you should work thru the below link:

    Hi TimW,

Should I remove the highlighted items on HitmanPro or ignore it? Thanks for all your time looking at my logs. Much appreciated.
I will post on software section regarding my shut down problem. SHould I post it with or without the logs?

You can fix what Hitman found, but I doubt it will make a difference. Post in the software forum without the logs. Just be sure to state what the issues are.

    And you are most welcome.

    Hi TimW,

The computer restarted properly now and I did not remove of the programs from HitMan. You are correct and thanks so much for all your help. The others are helping me with the Avast icon not showing up after a reboot. I also updated to SP 3. You are the best and thanks to all the staff at MajorGeeks.com
