Infected with agent.aoew/gadcom.exe

    Last night i got a notice from AVG that i had a virus. it said i had agent.aoew and the gadcom.exe

    it clean the files, but i am still having issues.

    i followed instructions on this fine website for windows XP cleaning. But it seems im still having issues, with popups and general lagging on all programs.

    i am attaching all the logs.

    please help, the reading i have done on this virus seems to indicate that its a nasty bug.

    now i have files called thumbs.db appearing in random places.

    The thumbs.db are a result of our MGTools unhidding files and folders in your system...nothing to worry about.

    It would appear that the scans took care of just about everything. :)

    Let's just do these two things:

    Copy the bold text below to notepad. Save it as fixME.reg to your desktop. Be sure the "Save as" type is set to "all files" Once you have saved it double click it and allow it to merge with the registry.
    Now use windows explorer to find and delete:
    C:\Documents and Settings\Jason\Local Settings\Application Data\prvlcl.dat

    You also have no Java installed:
    Java Runtime

    Tell me what issues you may still be having.
