infrared devices for cellphones

    I have a sagem myx7 and am trying to use the infrared thru a usb port. My computer wont recognise it and and using the help facility it tells me to download a patch available from windows. i cant find it as windows have removed it. The search feature scrolls that it has found a modem L.T.V.92 data/fax modem version 8.28. but this is as far as it goes. sorry if this is too long but i would love to have someone help me.
