I'm having painfully slow lag time when starting my system, opening any apps, pretty much everything has started running slow this morning. Tried the usual scans and such, to no avail so did the run me first, and am posting logs .
Hope I did it all right. Had a blowout on the freeway today, then my cell phone decides to delete my contact list, so i lost 5 years of phone numbers including work contacts.
    Lovely day .

What is inside of the below folders?

    • c:\users\gr0k\AppData\Roaming\Archiving
    • C:\Users\gr0k\AppData\Local\BotSeek

Delete the below files using windows explorer.
    • c:\windows\SysWow64\temp.001
    • c:\windows\SysWow64\temp.000
No website should be in your trusted zone

Not seeing any reasons for the cause of your slow down, however that will be better off further discussed in the software forum. Point is, I see no malware.

    # c:\users\gr0k\AppData\Roaming\Archiving : appeared to be some sort of 7-zip setup profile, containing information as to whether or not to use a password when archiving etc.

    # C:\Users\gr0k\AppData\Local\BotSeek : this contained some data stored by a programming project a friend and I had undertaken, not much in there just some profile data for a chat client .

Both of those were deleted .

    I noticed the O15 - Trusted Zone: http://asia.msi.com.tw
    and O15 - Trusted Zone: http://global.msi.com.tw

in hijack this, but left them alone because I wasnt sure what they were and couldn't find information on those.(now deleted) Now, although I did find obviously bad entries in hijack this- remnants of programs I no longer had- and deleted them, I am still getting a really annoying lag on power up, and when starting apps for the first time. This computer, until yesterday has been absolutely lightning fast on power up and apps would open darn near INSTANTLY when I click the icons. Now, when I power up it takes almost a full minute once I reach desktop for my avira and threatfire tray icons to appear, and about 20-30 seconds for any app to start the first time i use it . Also, when I download anything, the browser hangs and fades to white with (not repsonding) on the top before finally returning to normal after a while and the download has indeed been downloading and may be finished or not (depending on the size of the downloaded file). This is all new, strange behavior, and it is indeed annoying enough to me that I WILL do a re-install of my Windows 7 rather than tolerate the lag, if i can't get rid of it . If I wanted lag I would just use the old XP machine sitting behind me, and not this machine I spent a great deal of hard earned money on almost 2 years ago .
I just can't think of anything I could have done that would have caused this to happen.
Can you move this thread to software or should I start a new one myself ?
I do thank you for taking the time to look at my logs . (lol almost sounds dirty)
And, I also had UAC set at the highest setting, so I dont understand what could have happened. Maybe Ill try a defrag although the windows 7 defrag tells me I dont need to defrag.
Any further advice would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks again for your time.

I just did a re-install of windows, and pulled my media files out of windows.old . The lag is now gone and everything is back to normal. I figured that would be faster than figuring out what the problem is anyway. I got rid of lots of excess junk i didn't need this way as well, so i'm happy. Thanks again for taking the time to assist !
