I have followed all of the directions on the stickt thread and am still getting a numerous amount of popups. I ran spysweeper and it detected a few .dll's that were infected with something and for some reason none of the other scans detected them so I tried to run the computer in safe mode and delete them but it will not let me. One for instance is C:\windows\system32\lv4m09h1e.dll. Even HJT is bringing it up and I tried to fix it but it comes back every time. Does anyone know of any scan I may have done wrong that I could do again that might take this off or had the same problem?

    Thanks,
    Greg

Well you did not complete the instructions of the sticky thread. It indicates in there that if you still had problems after running all steps that you should:
    - attach the log from BitDefender
    - attach the log from PandaActiveScan
    - attach your Hijackthis log (from a properly installed HijackThis).

Sounds like you have a Look2Me infection and only the purchased version of SpySweeper will now removed this. They just changed the free scanner today to a scan only with no removal.

That is the spyware that came up with the spysweeper scan. Is there any other possible way to remove this without having to purchase a program?

We have used manual steps in the past that have been successful! As the malware evolves it can get more and more difficult to remove. They learn how we remove it and then they create new versions to block our fixes.

You will need to follow the steps of the READ & RUN ME FIRST Before Asking for Support sticky thread as indicated for us to get anywhere.

I got rid of the look2me malware however there still seems to be one alert popping up in spysweeper under "command". The file supposedly infected is c:\windows\u3rldmu\oal5xao.vbs and whenever I delete it, it seems to come right back. Is there something that I can run that will take care of this?

    Thanks, Greg

Are you going to follow the directions in the READ & RUN ME or not?
