I commend you for your patience and dedication. I myself have just about given up.

Things like this are very frustrating. I'm going to leave this in your hands almost entirely... I'm willing to do anything at this point, just guide me.

The Creative site is really PO'ing me. I have tried many times to get to their support FAQ's page, where I saw links to your problem earlier but didn't get a chance to read them. I can get to many places at their site, except the support.

I'm going to busy for part of the day, but I will get back with you.

OK, bud.... I'm back and ready to go. One of the things I did today was to, delete and re-install my wife's SoundBlaster on her PC. It installed back with no glitches. The control panel is different now, not incorporated in the volume control. It is a separate icon (She's on it right now and doesn't know what I did. LOL)

I don't know how willing you are to try the next steps.
One is to uninstall all Creative on your PC, drivers and folders, and then pull your card out. Reboot, shut down, replace your card and then reinstall your drivers.

The other is (and I think this is the best choice) and I'll step by step this for you.
In Device Manager, highlight your SoundBlaster device, use the delete key to remove the driver.
Go to Add / Remove programs and uninstall Creative.
Look in program files and delete any left over Creative folders.
Download CCleaner, if you don't have it already.

Run it's Cleaner and Registry tools.
    Re-start your PC.
Then download and install this driver:
Creative Sound Blaster Audigy, Audigy 2 series and Audigy 4 series Driver 02.09.0016

That is what I did with her's today, with no problem on the re-install.
Then we will be able to completely compare settings and what not.

I actually do have CCleaner, and I actually did exactly that yesterday.

I'm not sure if that's the driver I installed though, so I'll give that another go tomorrow afternoon and let you know the results.

    Thanks. :wave
