installed windows XP KB834707, now problem with IE

Hi,

am using XP professional SP1. I use a black background in my computer, I have configured display in Control panel to have a black background. Also in tools/internet options/accessebility have marked "ignore colors specified on webpages".

Before installing this patch, the button colors on Yahoo mail (when I was using the above configuration with black background) were gray, and I could see the button name written in it in black. After installing the patch, the button colors are now complete black and the text also is black, resulting in a total black button. I know I can change the color of the text and make it dark gray by tweaking the Display, but I want the gray color back. Shall I uninstall the patch???? Is there a way I can have the patch and also the buttons with original gray color?

Yes you can uninstall the patch....

Go to add/remove program and search for KB834707....

and reboot thing should return the way it was.....

The patch is a Cumulative Security Update for Internet Explorer and is rated as critical.

You should leave it and adjust your colours rather than uninstall it and jeopardise your security.
