I have 2 optical drives, and i would like to install an additional hardrive...

I have noticed all my IDE cables are taken. How do people install around 4 drives ? When i can only install 2 extra =(

Do i have to get an external drive? Or is it still possible to stick one more internal one?

If you have 2 IDE sockets then you can use 4 devices. I am assuming you need two optical drives and two hard drives?

If this is the case then you just need two IDE cables with a centre slave plug on each.

Best way is to use your primary IDE for your master and slave hard drives. And your second IDE socket for your two optical drives.

    Hope I understood you properly!

Some computer manufacturers use IDE cables with only one connector. To get around this, buy a boxed Hard Drive or ask your computer guy for an IDE cable. Then replace the IDE cable with one connector with the new one. You can now install your second hard drive.
