    just a quick question....
installing a new mobo and it posts fine and all, but it wont boot into winxp
would this be because winxp is already setup for my old mobo(with a different chipset than new mobo) and the HD needs reformatting and winxp re-installed?? or would this indicate a problem with the new mobo?
as I said, it posts fine, then the blue screen of death very quickly shuts down the system, so fast it is unreadable

only in rare cases where the chipset is exactly alike will the same XP install work and even in that case it may not work because of other factors ... so yes .. you have to reformat and reinstall windows XP
