    Hey Guys,
I got this computer from my school and I was going to put XP on it(continuing to "build" my horde). We wiped the HD's to remove the school's info before taking them.

I think the DVD Drive is dead(but I'm not sure). It won't read my Discs(went through and changed the BIOS to boot from CD/DVD Drive first). It has no OS on it at the moment. I was wondering if I could use this HD adapter I got for Christmas and my main computer to install XP onto that HD then diagnosis the DVD Drive issue. Can I install an OS through that adapter?
    Thanks,
    Spock96

You should be able to use a USB flash drive to load the OS if the computer supports boot from USB. Win2Flash is a very good program for doing that. I am not sure how you could use the adapter unless you were able to boot when it was connected to the school computer. I don't think that would be possible though.
