    Good day all,

Sorry if this seems totally off the wall, but:

I want a fast, simple desktop running Windows XP to act as a networked graphics server for the family to use. We have 7 pc/laptops running on a wired and wireless network. I have sourced an ideal system ( Dell Vostro 220) but it comes with Win 7 pre-installed and no option to go backwards in OS. Is my proposed solution of wiping the system and installing XP the way forward? Will there be any hardware issues?

    All helpful advice keenly read.

    Thanks.

    Chriscb.

You have to check for XP drivers first and check for warranty issues! You could probably more easily demote one of your older XP machines and use that as a server if that's what you want.
