Instructions on a chip

    so in response to the AMD/INTEL thread and how amd's with slower clocks have more instructions so they run just as fast.. What is Intel had same clock speeds and more instructions in them or AMD had more clock and same instructions. Wouldnt we be running sheet load faster? is it even possible for them to do that. what are the techinal dificulties?
