As I might have said, I joined the Intel Research program. Most people in my school do a social science project. But nope, I need to be the first program since the program was instated in 2005 to do a physical science program.

Nah, I don't. I need to be the first one to combine the 2.

My project: Build the perfect operating system for students. Have 2 groups of students who are all on the same level do a project, 1 on ZackOS, one on Windows. Compare the grades.

So in this project is it a from the ground up OS or are you using already written source code from an open source project?

You will have to let us know how this goes and if a final working version is available for us to test or play with.

    Good luck to you Zack.

    Hi Dave,

I think I'm going to go with writing a Linux distribution, deriving it from Ubuntu, or some other open source Linux. However, with this distro, the GUI is main part. I need it to be a student friendly GUI, because that's what I'm testing.

    Will post mockups soon
