Intel Folder 27gb Large

in my intel dir is a folder called "analyze", it is 27gb large (see screenshot) is it okay to delete this Intel dir., (i think it is related to the "Intel Driver Update Utility 2.2" program) or rather, can i safe uninstall this program? i still am using Vista.

I haven't added it up accurately but it's about 270MB large, not 27GB. Is that a big deal?

 

oh, you mean my screenshot? i just took a partial. the entire amount is actually 27gb

folder's first file was created on Dec. 30th 2015 to present. basically adding new files every 15 mins to 45 mins everyday since then.

 

mmm..see what you mean. AFAIK .etl files are just log files but at that rate you will soon swamp your HDD. Need to kill the process that is generating them but I don't seem to have any so can't help atm.

 

If the Intel driver update utility is starting automatically try disabling it. It may show in CCleaner but if not then search for it in MS Autoruns

 

ETL's are more like benchmark logs, for testing databases, etc. I'd guess it's triggered in Scheduled Tasks with that frequency.
